Thomas Buford Williams was born in 1893. He was married three times.His first marriage was to Salena George in 1913, and they had fivechildren: Thomas C., Miriam A., Charles W., Nathalee, and Kathalee.After the death of Salena, Thomas married (2nd) Lura Mae Herndon andthey had one child, Terry B. After the death of Lura Mae, Thomasmarried (3rd) Gladys Hungerford. He died on December 17, 1967.

Virginia Frances Williams, daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann (Simmons)Williams, was born on March 6, 1877. She married William C. Hardawayon August 7, 1898, in Collin County, Texas. He was born on May 1,1874, in Rutherford County, Tennessee, and was a son of James D. andSarah Elizabeth (Arnold) Hardaway, thus he was a brother of BenjaminStith Hardaway who married Mary Ellen Williams, sister of VirginiaFrances. (See Item i, above.) He died on February 5, 1935, andVirginia died on September 26, 1970. They had five children.

DEATH TAKES MRS. ANGELINE (WILSON) SPARKS
We regret to report the death on July 15, 1975, of Mrs. Angeline(Wilson) Sparks of Ardmore,
Oklahoma; she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas CharlesSparks, on October
12, 1962. Both are buried in the Pioneer Chapel of Llano Cemetery,Amarillo, Texas. Mr.
Sparks was a great-great-grandson of Matthew and Sarah Sparks whomoved from Frederick
County, Maryland, to the Wilkes County, North Carolina, area beforethe American Revolution.
Following the Revolution, the family moved to the Creek Indian landsof Georgia where
Matthew was killed by Indians in 1793. (See the QUARTERLY of June1961, Vol. IX, No. 2,
Whole No. 34, pp. 556-67). Thomas Charles Sparks descended fromMatthew and Sarah
Sparks through their son, Nathan Sparks, who married (1st) SallyEllsberry, and (2d) Nancy
Hancock. Thomas Charles and Angeline (Wilson) Sparks are survived bytwo sons, Robert
Wilson Sparks and Thomas Charles Sparks, Jr.
Bennett George Wilson was a pilot in World War II and was shot down inLae, New Guinea. Another pilot saw his plane go down and hit the waternear the beach, but didn't see Bennett get out of the plane. His bodywas never found and he was not released as a prisoner of war whenhostilities ceased. His widow, Lurline Ballew married William NewtonBrown on 4 February 1949 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She helped raise Mr.Brown's daughter Geraldine, issue of his marriage to his first wife.Lurline Ballew and Bennett George Wilson had two sons, Gilbert BennettWilson and Gordon Everett Wilson.spouse: Ballew, Lurline Rachel (1907 - 1999)
