DEATH TAKES MRS. ANGELINE (WILSON) SPARKS
We regret to report the death on July 15, 1975, of Mrs. Angeline (Wilson)Sparks of Ardmore,
Oklahoma; she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas CharlesSparks, on October
12, 1962. Both are buried in the Pioneer Chapel of Llano Cemetery,Amarillo, Texas. Mr.
Sparks was a great-great-grandson of Matthew and Sarah Sparks who movedfrom Frederick
County, Maryland, to the Wilkes County, North Carolina, area before theAmerican Revolution.
Following the Revolution, the family moved to the Creek Indian lands ofGeorgia where
Matthew was killed by Indians in 1793. (See the QUARTERLY of June 1961,Vol. IX, No. 2,
Whole No. 34, pp. 556-67). Thomas Charles Sparks descended from Matthewand Sarah
Sparks through their son, Nathan Sparks, who married (1st) SallyEllsberry, and (2d) Nancy
Hancock. Thomas Charles and Angeline (Wilson) Sparks are survived by twosons, Robert
Wilson Sparks and Thomas Charles Sparks, Jr.
Bennett George Wilson was a pilot in World War II and was shot down inLae, New Guinea. Another pilot saw his plane go down and hit the waternear the beach, but didn't see Bennett get out of the plane. His bodywas never found and he was not released as a prisoner of war whenhostilities ceased. His widow, Lurline Ballew married William NewtonBrown on 4 February 1949 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She helped raise Mr.Brown's daughter Geraldine, issue of his marriage to his first wife.Lurline Ballew and Bennett George Wilson had two sons, Gilbert BennettWilson and Gordon Everett Wilson.spouse: Ballew, Lurline Rachel (1907 - 1999)

Cora May Wright was born on Sept. 5, 1879, at Watiska, Nebr. She changedher given name to Coral Belleville because of her grandmother Giffin'ssurname. She married Erastus Dalson Telford in Litchfield, Ill., on Nov.1, 1900. He was born on April 23, 1874, at Salem, Ill. He was an attorneyand held several governmental positions. Coral Belleville died in August1967 at Salem, and Dalson died on Dec. 4, 1936, at Dekalb, Ill. They hadthree children.

Frank Taylor Wright was born on Jan. 1, 1875. On July 8, 1903, he marriedMary Ann Miller. She was born on Dec. 15, 1875, and was a daughter ofJames and Elizabeth (Paul) Miller. Mary Ann was a school teacher and anurse and she helped her husband to attend Cotner College Medical School.Frank died on July 21, 1958, at Prairie Village, Kansas. Mary Ann died onMarch 17, 1955, in Lincoln, Nebr. They were the parents of three children.
