" "Nancy (Hancock) Sparks survived her husband by a dozen years, dyingon April 15, 1856. James R. Green was appointed to administer herestate. He had been married to Priscilla Sparks in 1845 and was ason-in-law of Nancy Sparks. He made an inventory return at theSeptember 1856 term of the Wilson County Court and a final settlementof her estate at the march 1857 term. Each of her eight heirsreceived a share of her estate in the amount of $41.37. According tothe records sent to us by a descendant, Nathan Sparks had ninechildren." (here named but see their individual sheets.)

SQ p. 4573:

"Nancy Sparks, mother of Priscilla, died in the spring of 1856, andher son-in-law, James R. Green, was appointed as the administrator ofher estate. Green filed an inventory of her estate at the June 1856term of the Wilson County Court valued at $258.60. He made a finalsettlement of the estate at the March 1857 term of court and $331 wasdistributed to Nancy's eight heirs. We have found no further recordof this family."
