"He became a physician....James Harper died on April 1, 1922, and wasburied in the Harper Cemetery. He and Elizabeth had two children, ason and a daughter, born in 1901 and 1903, but both died in infancy."

He was married to Nancy Conn about 1896.She had been born about 1880, and she was a daughter of Jack and Ellen(Goodman) Conn. Jake Harper was killed by his brother-in-law, EllJohnson, on May 10, 1906. After his death, Nancy was married to JesseJohnson. She died in 1939. She and Jake had six children, includingan unnamed child who died shortly after birth."
