"brother" George Jerauld and is enumerated with three new children:
Ada 9, Anson (?) 3 and William D., 2.

US CENSUS OF 1820, Knox County, Indiana, District 089 lists:
William Jerrell 010110 10010 (Showing William [born 1793] as 26-44
with one male between 10-15 and another 16-25. Females are between 26-44
and one less than 10. This William Jerauld would have been 27 in 1820
so the older male youth certainly was not his son and the younger one
probably not. These could have been nephews or helpers. Knox count yis
adjacent to the north of Gibson County. James Jerrell is also enumerated
in Knox County District 089 in the 1820 US Census.
The US CENSUS OF 1830 FOR INDIANA lists no Jeraulds. However, th e US
CENSUS OF 1840 includes William Jerauld living in the Princeton district
of Gibson County, Indiana. Males are under 5, 1; 5-10, 1; 10-15, 1;
40-50, 1; females 5-10, 1; 40-50, 1.
!NOTES:
Since no other Jeraulds have been located in any census records for
1820 in Indiana, it is tempting to conclude that William was the first
member of the family to move from Rhode Island. However, it is apparent
that other members of the family have earlier historys in Indiana. For
example, his sister Phebe Ann Jerauld was married in Gibson County o nOct
14, 1819.
