This would explain the marriage of
the two daughters, Mary Ann (89) and Elizabeth (90), to Frederick Countymen, and make it probable that the John Jenkins who married
Eleanor Compton of Frederick County on July 26, 1794, was John (88) ofJohn (81) of George (5)."

Thomas Hussy Luckett and his first wife, Elizabeth Price. Thomas Luckettdied in 1767. Mrs. Elizabeth (Luckett) Jenkins married sec-
ondly, 1770-1772, Samuel Green." It is probable that Thomas was adescendant of Thomas Hussy, Gent. , son of Rev. John Hussey, of Harby,Lincolnshire, England. See reference to this family in THE FLOWERING OFTHE MARYLAND PALATINATE by Newman, pg 242. Possibly Thomas was a son ofElizabeth or Mary Hussy mentioned therein.

See The Flowering of the Maryland Platinate by Harry Wright Newman ,Genealogical Publishing Co., 1985, pg 235:
"Richard Lustead [Luslick] was transported by Father White who assigned his rights to 50 acres of land to Ferdinand Pulton. (cite) Hi smark on several documents seem to indicate that he was unschooled . In1637 he was domiciled in Mattapanient Hundred and was also a re sident atthe time of his death in 1642. He failed to negotiate an y land grants,so apparently he maintained a freehold on one of the l arge manors thenheld by the Jesuits at Mattapanient.
"At the opening of the General Assembly in January 1637/8, he trus tedhis proxy to his father-in-law, Richard Garnett, later changed t oGardiner, but within a few days he revoked or cancelled his proxy w ithRichard Garnett, and was admitted to the Assembly as a freeholder .(cite) He was elected a burgess from Mattapanient Hundred for the A ssembly ofOctober, 1640, which seemed to have departed from the here tofore customof a gathering of all freemen in the Province. (cite ) At the 1641Assembly, Cuthbert Fenwick held his proxy and at th e one of March 21,1641/2, Thomas Greene was given that prerogative.
"He married a sister of Luke Garnett (Gardiner) who was undoubtedl yElizabeth. She was brought into the Province by her father, Richar dGarnett (Gardiner), in 1637 at the age of 19 years. She predecease d herhusband, for on August 3, 1642, letters of administration upo n theestate of Richard Lustead were issued, not to his widow, but t o CaptainThomas Cornwalys. (cite) The inventory of the personal est ate was madeby Cuthbert Fenwick and Richard Garnett. Among the item s were eightbooks, one servant, laced handkerchiefs, night caps, an d some paperpictures. (cite)
"On March 10, 1650/1, Luke Gardiner after Ingle's Rebellion claime d50 acres of land "due to Richard Luslick, Servant to Mr. Copley, wh omarried my sister, deceased." (cite) It is evident that no issue survived, inasmuch as the brother-in-law claimed the land-rights rathe rthan the son and heir or the co-heiresses, and there is no record o f theheir assigning rights to his uncle. Having been a retainer o f ThomasCopley and having married into a Roman Catholic family, it c an beconcluded that he was of that faith."
