"Mary died of an unknown illness, she cried constantly from her birthto her death. It has been speculated that for some reason or other shedid not digest her milk and that she starved to death. Back then therewas only one doctor in the area and he was gard to get to see. Herbertdied of crib death, my mother always said he looked healthier than anyother baby she had. She put him down for a nap and when she went tocheck on him he was dead.
"Luman, as my brother is known, married Mary Magdalean Foote Hudgensin the early 1970's. She was a divorcee and for some reason they wouldnever tell anyone their exact marriage date. No children.
"I married Noel B. Marshall 3-20-53. He died 10-19-1983. We have twodaughters. I married Solomon Eugene "Buck" Pritchett 4-10-1984. Wedivorced in the early 1990's. No children.
"Vivian married William Gilbert White 6-21-58. They have threedaughters and one son. All of my father's children were born in FlatRock, Alabama, which is also where my daughters were born."
