In April, 2000, I received information concerning Walter Payne from Thomas W. Hancock (2ggrandson of Jackie Payne) , of John P. Hancock, of Jane Payne and Robert Irvin Hancock, Sr. Jane Payne is a daughter of John Spalding Payne, a son of Jackie Payne. Tom Hancock sent his entire Gedcom file by email and the great bulk of information on the descendants of John "Jackie" Payne came from him, for which I am grateful. While I had information on all of the other children, Walter was not included. On the other hand, Tom Hancock had no information on Bernard Cruz Payne in his data base.
